46. You Are (Not) Small, by Anna Kang.

46.    You Are (Not) Small, by Anna Kang.

Kang, A. (2014). You are (not) small. NY: Two Lions.

Two fuzzy creatures can't agree on who is small and who is big.  After debating it for several pages a couple of surprise guests show up one fuzzy creature much smaller and another fuzzy creature much bigger.  This is an original and funny story about size and how size is relevant.

This is a simple story for very young students or beginning readers.  There are few words, and they are repetitive.  The illustrations play a large part in telling the story.  This is a great book for teaching the concepts of big and small.  I found a lesson plan that where students compare big things and small things. There are several books in this series including It Is (Not) PerfectWe are (Not) Friends, I Am (Not) Scared, and That Is (Not) Mine.
